Our Story

Hi, I’m Becca!

2020 started out with me full of excitement about the most incredible year I was going to have! I was graduating from Rosemount High School in June and then I was leaving for an entire year of traveling the world and serving people through an immersive Gap Year program called EF Gap Year.

And then, thanks to the effects of COVID my last few months as a high school senior were not the exciting, hopeful, celebratory culmination of 13 years of hard work that all teenagers look forward to, instead, we were stuck at home, missing class, missing friends, missing the in-person celebrations we had been looking forward to for so long.

Not only that but because of world-wide travel restrictions, my year-around-the-world-adventure-of-a-lifetime trip was canceled, indefinitely.

I think it’s safe to say that 2020 will forever be shadowed by a dark cloud.

As I started brainstorming what would be next, I knew I wanted to do something that brought people joy and allowed me to share my hope and optimism about life!

I have been a barista and shift supervisor at Starbucks for three years, and I know one thing for certain, coffee brings people joy.

This is where the idea for a mobile coffee bar was born - the Silver Lining to our dark, cloudy year.

Silver Lining, noun

a sign of hope in an unfortunate or gloomy situation;

a bright prospect.

Every cloud has a Silver Lining.
